Craftsmanship

Inside our ateliers

We work with a small circle of ateliers across Europe and South Asia, chosen for a specific skill rather than the lowest price — a tannery for our leather goods, a mill for our wool outerwear, a perfumer for our fragrance line, and hand-embroidery workshops for occasion pieces.

Materials

We use full-grain leather (the toughest, most durable grade, which develops a natural patina over time), natural fibres like wool, cotton and silk, and solid brass or gold-toned hardware rather than plated alternatives that wear through.

Process

Why it costs what it costs

Hand-finishing takes time, and time is the one thing we won’t compromise on to hit a lower price point. We’d rather be transparent about that than pretend our prices and a fast-fashion timeline could coexist.
